Information Collection
Vault does not collect, transmit, store, or share any information about you or your device - ever.
Specifically, Vault:
- Does not request internet permission
- Does not connect to any server or external service
- Does not collect usage data, analytics, or crash reports
- Does not use any third-party SDKs that collect data
- Does not require or create an account
- Does not use advertising networks or tracking tools
- Does not process your data using AI or cloud services
Where Your Data Lives
All data you enter into Vault - passwords, usernames, notes - is encrypted using AES-256-GCM and stored exclusively on your device. The encryption key is derived from your master password using PBKDF2-SHA256. Your master password is never stored anywhere.
SAPPS Interactive has no access to your data. No one does, except you.
Encrypted Export
Vault allows you to export your vault as an encrypted .vault file. This file is protected by your master password and is saved to your device's local storage or a location you choose (such as a local backup drive). This export is performed entirely on-device. No data is sent over the internet during export or import.
Forgotten Master Password
If you forget your master password, your data cannot be recovered - by you or by SAPPS Interactive. There is no recovery mechanism by design. This is what guarantees that no one else can ever access your data either.
Children
Vault does not collect information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected or transmitted, there is nothing to retain or delete.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published here with a new effective date. Given that Vault's core design is zero data collection, any meaningful change to this policy would represent a fundamental change to the app itself - which we have no intention of making.
